Lauren E. Burke

Lauren E. Burke is an associate in the firm's Newark office and is a member of the IP Procurement and Portfolio Management practice group. Lauren advises clients on a variety of intellectual property-related matters, focusing on trademark clearance, prosecution, enforcement and portfolio management. Lauren regularly assists regarding the selection of trademarks, securing trademark registrations, and the policing and maintenance of trademarks in the United States and abroad. Lauren’s practice also includes opposition and cancelation proceedings at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, trade dress assessment, and copyright protection and enforcement. Lauren has worked with a variety of businesses, from start-up companies to international corporations in multiple industries, including beauty, clothing and food.

Prior to joining the firm, Lauren served as trademark counsel for a New York City-based brand management company, where she focused her practice on trademark prosecution and portfolio management both domestically and internationally, including trademark clearance, enforcement and licensing as well as copyright protection and enforcement. Lauren also previously worked as a trademark examining attorney at the USPTO where she examined trademark applications to determine federal registration and presented arguments to the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
