Lorenzo Fratantoni is counsel in the firm’s Milan office. His practice mainly focuses on corporate law with respect to both contentious and non-contentious matters. Lorenzo has a deep experience in M&A, joint-ventures and business combination transactions. Lorenzo also advises on a regular basis founders and investors in any stage of their business (start-up set up, seed, round A-B-C-D, bond, SOP, scale-up transition). Lorenzo also has a remarkable experience in turnaround process, including transactions involving restructuring and insolvency.
For more than 15 years, Lorenzo has been advising domestic and international companies on technology transactions and sourcing, franchising, IP licensing, distribution agreements and several other complex commercial transactions.
Lorenzo has a significant experience and knowledge of the pharmaceutical and health care sector, aerospace and new space economy, gambling and gaming industry, e-commerce and high-tech.
Lorenzo is admitted to the practice before the Italian High Courts.
For more than 15 years, Lorenzo has been serving as legal counsel in corporate transactions (e.g. M&A, PE, public-to-private, venture capital investments, joint ventures, start-up), commercial agreements (e.g. business outsourcing, international sales, agency and distribution contracts) and litigation matters (e.g. R&W claims, directors and statutory auditors liability, challenge of corporate resolutions, unfair competition) where Lorenzo is also appointed as member of arbitration panels. Lorenzo served as legal advisor of the European Commission and the Italian Ministry of Justice in a structural reform program regarding enforcement and insolvency proceedings. Lorenzo also served as independent director of an asset management company (SGR). Prior to joining K&L Gates, Lorenzo practiced as lawyer in other top ranked UK/US law firms.
