Terrina G. LaVallee serves as a complex and commercial litigation associate. Terrina assists clients at various stages of a contractual dispute, to include recently serving as third chair in a jury trial.
Terrina maintains a robust pro bono practice. She assists in civil rights issues, particularly in the prisoner rights context. Additionally, Terrina partners with the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund Name Change Project and represents low-income transgender people in legally changing their name. Terrina also uses her legal background to protect abuse victims by securing protective orders against their abusers.
Terrina serves as the K&L Gates Global Day of Service Pittsburgh Champion. In this role, she led the initiative to partner with the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania for the Pittsburgh office’s volunteer drive. She is also a member of the firm's Diversity Committee and Women in Profession Committee. Recently, Terrina joined the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania’s Women’s Leadership Council.
Prior to her legal practice, Terrina worked in politics in Pittsburgh, PA, Denver, CO, and Washington, D.C. She graduated from the University of Maryland and Georgetown University Law Center. Terrina and her husband Dan raise their daughters (including their mini Australian Shepherd) the Chamorro way in Pittsburgh, PA.
