Tracy Carr

Tracy Carr is a Special Counsel in our Sydney Real Estate team who is into building her clients' empires as if they were her own.

Having spent more than a decade practising commercial property law with a passion for complex, challenging and high-calibre transactions, Tracy is committed to surpassing the expectations of her clients and achieving the best possible outcomes.

While Tracy has worked extensively in New South Wales and Queensland, her expertise covers transactional and advisory work for high value commercial, industrial, agricultural and retail property assets across all Australian jurisdictions (as well as overseas), with a focus on developments.

Tracy regularly presents at industry seminars for the legal profession and for clients on property law issues, has held a number of executive and chairperson positions on committees, has undertaken a number of legal secondments, and is passionate about pro bono work, mentoring and public speaking. Tracy has been recognised as an emerging leader by the Chamber of Commerce, and was awarded the Outstanding Alumni Award by her university for her post-graduate career achievements and contributions to the legal profession.

While she is originally from Queensland, Tracy has spent many years working in some of the largest law firms in Australia in leading, award-winning global Real Estate teams. She has advised many major clients and developers including Frasers Property, Stockland, Glencore, Dexus, Revlon, Lion and LOGOS Property in relation to leasing, developments and capital transactions valued up to AU$1.5 billion.

Tracy was invited in 2021, 2022 and 2023 to present on complex areas of property law as part of Legalwise Seminars' annual Commercial and Retail Leasing Roundup. Tracy has presented alongside Directors, Barristers and the Small Business Commissioner, typically focussing on subleases, mortgages over leases and concurrent leases. Tracy has also opened major events and spoken at a number of conferences and webinars.
