Prior to joining the firm, Trent was an associate in the corporate and securities group of a law firm based in Newport Beach, California. Through this role, Trent represented private companies; private equity, venture capital firms, and their portfolio companies in mergers and acquisitions; venture capital financings; and general corporate matters. He drafted and participated in the negotiation of acquisition documentation, merger agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, escrow agreements, and more. In addition, Trent engaged in substantial client contact regarding the negotiation and drafting of transaction documentation, diligence process, and post-closing matters.
