Francesca Eick is an associate in the Environment, Land and Natural Resources group in the Seattle office. Her practice focuses on regulatory compliance, litigation, and transactions involving environmental, land use, natural resource, and energy issues. Ms. Eick has experience advising public and private clients on matters relating to a range of environmental statutes, including the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Clean Air Act (CAA), the Comprehensive, Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and state and local land-use laws.

Ms. Eick also represents clients in negotiations and transactions with Indian tribes on issues related to sovereign immunity, treaty rights, and historic and cultural resources.

Professional Background

Before joining K&L Gates, Ms. Eick was a judicial clerk for Justice Debra Lehrmann of the Texas Supreme Court, where she researched and drafted appellate opinions in a wide variety of civil cases. During law school, she worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Nancy F. Atlas of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Ms. Eick was a summer associate at K&L Gates in 2015. Prior to law school, Ms. Eick served as a Teach for America Corps Member.
