In addition to advising on compliance with employment and industrial laws, Tegen's breadth of experience ranges from drafting workplace documentation (including employment and contractor agreements and policies) to defending clients in workplace-related litigation (including unfair dismissal, general protections, discrimination and bullying claims and claims for alleged breaches of workplace laws, agreements, awards and contracts).
Tegen is also skilled at managing complicated human resources issues. She regularly advises clients on how to effectively manage workplace conflict, employee misconduct, underperformance, business sales and restructures and ill and injured workers.
Tegen has a particular interest in health and safety. She provides straightforward advice on compliance and risk management strategies under workplace, electrical and mining health and safety laws. She also presents training to officers on their statutory duties, and helps clients manage all aspects of safety incidents, including internal and regulator investigations and enforcement action.
