Alexander D. Walsdorf

Alex Walsdorf is an associate and a member of the firm’s Commercial Disputes practice group. Alex represents clients in complex commercial disputes in state and federal court and in arbitration. He has significant experience with cross-border litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and cases involving breach of contract and business torts. 

Alex has handled all phases of discovery, including document collection, review, and production, depositions, and motion practice. He has significant experience with discovery issues that arise with clients in foreign jurisdictions involved in US litigation who are subject to foreign secrecy and privacy laws.   

Alex has co-authored numerous motions for summary judgment in state and federal court. He has also drafted appellate briefs for the First Department (New York), the Illinois Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.   
 

Prior to joining the firm, Alex was an associate at a commercial disputes boutique. Before that, Alex clerked at the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
