Eric Yong is counsel and a member of the firm’s Construction and Infrastructure practice group. With over 10 years of experience as a construction and projects development lawyer, Eric’s practice encompasses a range of sectors including oil and gas, petrochemicals, industrial, commercial and social real estate, and transport with aggregated capital expenditure in excess of US$15 billion.

Prior to joining the firm, Eric served as head of legal with an economic development board in Southeast Asia. His experience includes advising on, structuring, drafting, and negotiating engineering and construction transactions, including contentious construction experience in both international arbitration and local litigation. Through this role, Eric also managed and advised multiple legal teams simultaneously, including government in-house lawyers, regarding project and infrastructure transactions. He also structured and led in house training programs, coordinated external programs, and appointed and managed legal resources.
