Acted for a West African state in a US$300 million ICC arbitration claim by an international oil company concerning the state's entitlement to impose tax under agreements relating to production of oil from the Jubilee oil field.
Acted for a major Italian aerospace and defence company in a high-value and commercially sensitive High Court claim concerning alleged design and manufacture of a fighter jet causing death.
Acted for a South Asian state in a £20 million LCIA arbitration commenced by a South Korean energy company relating to a large power generation project and payments due under a state guarantee.
Acted for a major US department store in its claims against multiple insurers for losses arising from Covid-19 in excess of US$200 million.
Acted for a financial services provider in a complex c. £20 million High Court claim by an Irish company (in liquidation) against it for alleged dishonest assistance.
Advised a US tech company (specialising in AI cyber security) in a professional negligence claim against its former advisers for losses following a failed Aquis Stock Exchange listing.
Acted for a claimant in High Court proceedings against the sole shareholder of a company in a shareholder-oppression context seeking transfer and registration of shares.
Acted for the artist known as ‘Banksy’ in an urgent anonymity application in the High Court.
Advised a television network on a privacy dispute with a former world heavyweight boxing champion.
Acted for the joint liquidators of SCL Elections Limited (Cambridge Analytica), the internationally high-profile company at the centre of the Facebook data scandal and 2016 US election.
Acted for the liquidators in an Insolvency Act application relating to the assignment of rights prior to insolvency, including claims for transactions at an undervalue, preferences and breaches of fiduciary duties.
Acted for litigation funders in claims against multiple defendants for transactions at an undervalue, preferences and breach of directors’ duties.
