The matter involved disputes arising under various agreements relating to a multi-million dollar property development in the Asia-Pacific region.

Assisting a leading manufacturer and supplier of cement in relation to debt recovery, including advising on methods and prospects of recovery.
Assisting a commercial landlord in a tenancy matter involving the discovery of asbestos in the premises, compliance with relevant legislation regarding the management and removal of asbestos and advising in respect of compensation claims.
Assisting a commercial landlord in a tenancy matter involving structural defects arising from the non-permitted use of the premises, including advising in regard to claims by affected tenancies and insurance coverage issues.
Assisting a global mining company in respect of various claims brought against subsidiaries for asbestos and solar radiation exposure by former employees, including in relation to issues of divisible injuries, apportionment and investigations of employment and insurance records dating back > 50 years, and bringing proceedings for contribution against concurrent wrongdoers.
Assisting a medical practitioner successfully resist allegations of impropriety in the course of his practice, securing a permanent stay in respect of certain allegations and an acquittal in respect of the balance in the District Court, and acting in ongoing disciplinary proceedings.
Assisting a mining equipment supply client pursue claims under contract and the Australian Consumer Law in relation to faulty goods supplied by a manufacturer through a third party.
Assisting a national distribution company resist an interlocutory injunction and proceedings in the Supreme Court of Queensland in relation to alleged breaches of contract, including preparation for Court hearings and mediation and drafting pleadings, and the conduct of associated defamation proceedings.
Assisting a national infrastructure and mining company defend proceedings under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) to recover payments made by a customer as alleged preference payments.
Assisting the conduct of an internal investigation commissioned by a national construction company into allegations of employee fraud, theft and bullying at a remote construction site.
Assisting insurers and insureds in investigating and prosecuting recovery of funds fraudulently misappropriated by employees in various matters. Experience includes preparing for and assisting in the conduct of a four-day trial in the Supreme Court of Queensland seeking recovery of monies misappropriated during the course of a $20m fraud on a national construction company, including undertaking extensive tracing exercises.
