REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

Solar

Advise solar developer in the drafting and negotiation of a long-term power purchase agreement for a 225 MW solar project located in ERCOT. The output of the Project was sold to several municipal utilities in Texas.
Advise tax equity investor on state law aspects of a 300 MW solar project located in Texas. The scope of due diligence review included real estate, state and local taxes, permitting, environmental, and state energy regulatory matters.
Represented an Oregon utility in the negotiation of a power purchase agreement for the output of a hybrid solar (50 MW) + storage (30 MW/120 MWh) facility and 300 MW wind project to be constructed in Oregon.
Represented a US renewable energy developer in the negotiation of a development agreement for a solar project in Hawaii.
​Advise tax equity investor in the performance of state law aspects of two approximately 75 MW utility scale solar projects located in Florida.  The scope of due diligence review included real estate, state and local taxes, permitting, environmental, and state energy regulatory matters.
​Advise solar energy systems developer on a long-term joint-venture partnership with a leading independent North American renewable energy investor, to build, own, and operate a 250 MW pipeline of commercial and industrial solar projects across North America.

Energy Storage

Represented an energy storage developer in the negotiation of an energy storage agreement (tolling PPA) in connection with Southern California Edison’s Local Capacity Requirement RFO.
Represented the National Hydropower Association in the preparation of comments filed by NHA in response to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s notice of intent and subsequent notice of proposed rulemaking  on the treatment of energy storage facilities (including pumped storage hydro) in certain markets (Order 784).

Wind Energy

​Advise tax equity investor on state law aspects of a 200 MW wind project located in Texas.  The scope of due diligence review included real estate, state and local taxes, permitting, environmental, and state energy regulatory matters.
Advise tax equity investor on state law aspects of a 202 MW wind project located in Oregon.  The scope of due diligence review included real estate, state and local taxes, permitting, environmental, and state energy regulatory matters.
