Advised an Australian renewable energy development company in relation to the ongoing construction and development of an energy park, a combined wind, solar, and battery storage facility.
Assisted an Asian investor in acquiring a 50% interest in a fleet of behind-the-meter energy storage assets in Los Angeles, providing energy savings to site hosts and competing in California’s demand response market.
Represented a multinational IT and electronics corporation in the approximately US$100 million acquisition of the electric grid storage division of an electric battery maker.
Represented an energy storage and management company in a Securities Purchase Agreement and Supply Agreement with a vertically integrated photovoltaic developer.
Counseled an energy storage developer on interconnection procedures for integrating advanced energy storage solutions into the PG&E and CAISO grids.
Represented a renewable energy semiconductor manufacturer in drafting and negotiation of a Master Commercial Agreement with a utility operator for the development of a pilot program for an integrated solar power generation and storage system for deployment in the residential marketplace.
Advised a public utility on its purchase under a build-transfer agreement of a 100-megawatt portion of a 300-megawatt wind farm from one of the United States' largest capital investors in infrastructure. The deal also included a solar power array and a battery storage system, from which our client will buy output and storage capacity from the infrastructure investor under a 30-year power purchase agreement.
Represented a world leader in lithium-ion-based energy storage in connection with the proposed development of a 200 MW “battery” grid designed to supplement Puget Sound Energy during peak power demand in Washington State.
Represented an industry-leading supplier of advanced energy management solutions in connection with the sale of a portfolio of renewable energy power generation and storage projects to a subsidiary of AEP. The projects are located on commercial sites in Hawaii. Also advised the client in creating a suite of form documents to streamline future transactions.
Represented a leading developer of intelligent, renewable energy power platforms based in Wisconsin on its US$14 million underwritten public offering of common stock.
Advised an electricity company developing DER systems and IOE control platforms in its collaboration, R&D, and license agreements with a Seoul, Korea-based chemical corporation.
Represented a Stirling engine and solar company on appropriations, federal grants, and tax credits.
