Advised a Sydney, Australia-based developer of blockchain-based computer games on its AU$89 million Series B financing led by a San Francisco, California-headquartered global investment platform for gaming, Web3, and immersive technologies and a New South Wales, Australia-based venture capital firm dedicated to investing in innovative ideas and exceptional teams across the globe.
Managed trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement for one of the world’s leading online game developers in relation to rollout of new online games and hardware.
Represented an online gaming company in connection with an administrative dispute against the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts involving Texas tax.
Represented a video game company in the negotiation of virtual reality game development and services with the developer of a popular online multiplayer game.
Surveyed current privacy practices for an industry leader in NFT technology.
Represented an international video game publisher in the negotiation of vendor agreements.
Represented a Bellevue, Washington-based AAA independent video game company in the sale of a video game development studio to a San Mateo, California-headquartered multinational video game and digital entertainment company.
Assisted an NFT company to leverage and refactor onto a different zkEVM technology (a virtual machine that executes smart contracts in a way that is compatible with zero-knowledge-proof computation) through an NFT Exchange, partnering, and licence agreement with a third-party Ethereum protocol.
Negotiated, on behalf of a video game company, a license of a popular online multiplayer game.
Served as special e-discovery counsel to an entertainment software and technology company regarding a response to a class action filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington alleging violation of federal and state antitrust laws and state unfair competition laws.
Served as construction counsel for a Japanese media company in a corporate headquarter relocation.
Provided tax support to a technology company focused on digital ownership of NFTs and the development/publication of Web3 games in delivering on an extensive ESOP the client provides its employees as a key part of its recruitment and retention strategy.
