Guy Peterson focuses on general liability, public liability and insurance coverage matters with over 15 years' experience in defending a wide range of personal injury, property and other claims in all Courts in Victoria and Western Australia.
He has acted for a wide range of government departments and bodies in relation to public liability and "worker to worker" claims and related Victorian WorkCover Authority (VWA) recoveries. Guy has also acted for a number of multi-state and national organisations, including casino operators, as well as self-insureds and other insureds in relation to public liability and a range of "worker to worker" claims and related VWA recoveries.
He also has extensive experience in advising insurers and insureds on complex insurance and contractual indemnity issues and claims for contribution and recovery from other insurers.
Guy previously worked as a lawyer at a boutique insurance litigation law firm in Perth for over three years where he advised on a number of insurance and commercial disputes.
Guy then joined K&L Gates where he advised on a number of commercial litigation, personal injury, and insurance coverage matters until he moved to the firm's Melbourne office in 2016 where he has mostly acted for government departments and bodies as well as multi-state and national organisations on a wide range of public liability and "worker to worker" claims.
