K&L Gates Welcomes Hong Kong Commercial Technology and Sourcing Partner
Hong Kong - The Hong Kong office of K&L Gates LLP has added Nigel Stamp as a partner in the global commercial technology and sourcing practice. Stamp joins K&L Gates from Eversheds Sutherland, where he headed both the Asia commercial practice and regional technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) practice.
Over more than 20 years, Stamp has been practicing in Hong Kong, China, and throughout the Asia Pacific region, where he has worked on all types of TMT and other commercial contracts and issues and has acted either for or against most of the world’s leading suppliers of both hardware and software. He advises on significant IT and other outsourcing projects including public and private cloud transactions and high-value global and/or strategic cross-border IT procurement projects for some of the world’s leading financial and other institutions.
Stamp has also counseled on large-scale projects on the internet, including significant e-commerce projects and groundbreaking media projects for household name retailers and suppliers of electronics products, global telecommunications, and leading media companies. In addition to assisting clients with the drafting and negotiation of outsourcing and TMT contracts and providing related regulatory advice, he also advises regularly on data privacy, IT and cybersecurity, technology import/export, IP, and general commercial contracts and issues.
David Tang, K&L Gates’ managing partner, Asia, said: “We are delighted that Nigel has joined us. We have mutually respected each other’s practices for many years, and Nigel’s addition enhances the deep involvement our firm has had with the technology markets in Asia over the past two decades.”
