Madeline (Maddy) K. Greenier

Maddy Greenier is a patent agent and a member of the IP Procurement and Portfolio Management practice group. Maddy has extensive experience in preparing freedom-to-operate and patentability opinions, drafting patent applications, prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications, managing patent portfolios, and coordinating IP strategies. She has helped clients of all sizes develop strong patent portfolios for protecting their intellectual property rights. Maddy’s expertise covers a broad range of technologies including machine learning architectures, financial services, authentication systems, quantum computing, database management, mobile applications, communication platforms, telecommunications, and medical/healthcare devices and services.

Maddy received her bachelor's degree from Binghamton University, where she completed her undergraduate thesis on the physics of individual biomolecules confined within nanofabricated fluidic devices. She then earned her M.S. degree from UNC Charlotte, studying applications of advanced ceramics in various biomedical applications including as a bioactive orthopedic device, a drug delivery vehicle, and a cryopreservation scaffold. Since 2020, Maddy has worked as a technical advisor and patent agent at transatlantic law firms.
