Shane A. Hubbard

Shane Hubbard is a senior associate in the firm’s Technology Transactions practice group and specialises in technology, outsourcing, and commercial intellectual property matters. He supports clients in delivering complex technology and outsourcing deals internationally, including drafting, negotiating and advising on standalone contracts and framework agreements for goods and services, direct and indirect reseller, introducer, referral and distribution arrangements, outsourced supplies, technology (including fintech), on-premise and cloud-hosted solutions (including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, HRaaS, CpaaS and AIaaS models), multi-tier software licensing, data licensing, end-user licensing, collaboration and teaming, consulting, website terms, and commercial intellectual property and other proprietary rights.

Shane also supports regulated clients in implementing contractual provisions to meet the requirements under cyber security regimes such as Network and Information Systems (NIS), System and Organisational Controls (SOC), International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).

Shane’s sector experience includes a wide variety of cross-border transactions for clients in the technology, healthcare and life sciences, energy (particularly EV solutions), financial services, and retail sectors. 

Shane has previously completed four client secondments and advises private sector clients supplying goods and services to the public sector under the UK public procurement regime.
