William M. Fortunato

Bill Fortunato is admitted to practice in Tennessee and by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is not currently admitted in North Carolina.

Bill Fortunato is an associate with a background in electrical engineering. He is a member of the IP Procurement and Portfolio Management practice group based out of the firm’s Raleigh office. His practice includes strategically growing his clients’ intellectual property portfolios with an emphasis on patent drafting, prosecution, and licensing.

Bill’s practice has included the drafting and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications fora wide variety of technical fields including: optical chip fabrication, machine learning systems, business methods, wind turbine control, wireless network optimization, electrical circuits, and mechanical devices. He has also led appeal procedures and conducted oral argument in front of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to secure his client’s patent rights, and has directed prosecution efforts for infringement in co-pending licensing discussions.
