Coleman Porta is an associate in the firm’s Power practice group. Prior to joining the firm, Coleman served as a real estate lawyer focusing on energy and infrastructure for a global law firm. His experience includes advising on complex real estate transactions involving renewable energy, data centers, and related infrastructure projects across the United States. Coleman has history providing comprehensive title and survey reviews, resolving complex development issues, and structuring acquisitions of underlying property interests to secure insurable title coverage for project development. He has significant experience negotiating with third-party interest holders, lenders, governmental entities, and utility providers, to obtain, amend, or subordinate competing property interests and access rights critical to project development. In this capacity, Coleman has navigated sensitive and often multi-party negotiations involving title defects, encroachments, restrictive covenants, and competing development rights, while preserving project timelines. His practice focuses on strategic counsel supporting project financing, risk mitigation, and the long-term success of complex energy and infrastructure projects.
