Jaylynn L. Ellington

Jaylynn Ellington is an associate in the firm’s Finance practice. She represents financial institutions and corporate clients in a variety of financing transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Jaylynn served as a summer associate in the firm’s Charlotte office, where she assisted with merger and acquisition transactions, financing transactions, securities law research, and corporate governance matters. Her experience includes drafting transaction documents, conducting due diligence preparing offering materials, and researching regulatory developments affecting public and private companies.

Prior to joining the firm, Jaylynn served as an SEC Scholar at the US Securities and Exchange Commission. In this role, she supported a variety of securities enforcement, regulatory, and compliance matters, including drafting subpoenas and document requests, assisting with witness interviews and depositions, and working on Initial Offering Process (IOP) compliance and securities registration filings under SEC regulations.
