Kathryn E. White

Kathryn (Kate) White is an associate in the firm’s Power practice group. She focuses on the sale and transfer of renewable tax credits (ITCs and PTCs) and financing for renewable energy projects. Kate advises clients on managing complex transactions and provides strategic guidance throughout the deal lifecycle, from due diligence and negotiation to closing, with an emphasis on transactions involving clean energy credits, including those related to nuclear, solar, wind, battery storage, and other renewable energy projects.

Kate also advises clients on regulatory matters with a particular focus on Texas energy markets. She regularly attends proceedings before the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) and the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and advises clients on the subject matters discussed, including developments related to Batch Zero, large load interconnections, transmission planning, and renewable energy projects.

Kate brings a well-rounded understanding of how development, acquisitions, and financing of renewable energy projects intersect with client goals in an ever-changing market environment. She uses her experience to offer practical, strategic advice that balances legal and business needs.
