Marie A. LaRosa

Marie LaRosa is an associate in the firm's Environment, Land, and Natural Resources practice group. Marie’s litigation practice involves matters of environmental litigation and complex commercial disputes relating to contract and tort claims. 

Marie also advises clients on the environmental aspects of project development to manage environmental risk and support transactional due diligence. She counsels companies across industries on compliance with major federal and state environmental statutes, including the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Comprehensive, Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). 

Prior to joining the firm, Marie served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Daryl F. Bloom of the Middle District of Pennsylvania. In this role, she drafted opinions on disability, employment, and constitutional law. Marie was previously a summer associate at a law firm in Harrisburg, PA, where she worked on a variety of matters including commercial litigation, energy and utility law, and insurance coverage.

Marie graduated summa cum laude from Penn State Dickinson Law, where she was a teaching assistant for Legal Writing and Evidence, a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), a member of the Environmental Law Society, and student attorney of the Community Law Clinic, which aids low-income individuals in family matters. 

During law school, Marie received awards for having the highest grade in the class in Torts, Evidence, Sales, Client Counseling, and Advanced Legal Research: Civil Litigation.
