Peter Nigra is counsel in the firm’s Construction and Infrastructure practice group. His experience includes representing owners, prime contractors, subcontractors, joint ventures, and public entities in complex construction disputes, including high-stakes litigation involving constructability, design, subcontractor default, surety, and related insurance matters. Peter has advised clients throughout all phases of dispute resolution, developing litigation strategies, managing negotiations, and counseling stakeholders on risk and exposure.
In addition to his construction-focused practice, Peter has significant experience defending clients in commercial litigation, commercial trucking, workers’ compensation, and personal injury matters. He has appeared before numerous Pennsylvania state courts, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, and the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He also has experience drafting appellate briefs for matters before the Pennsylvania Superior Court and Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Peter has advised clients on a wide range of commercial and construction agreements. His experience includes drafting and negotiating equipment purchase, supply, maintenance, long-term service, and nondisclosure agreements, including interstate and international transactions. He also has experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts for owners and specialty equipment suppliers, with a particular focus on design obligations and the coordination of multiple prime contractors.
