Pete Nigra is counsel in the firm’s Construction and Infrastructure practice group. Pete is a construction lawyer and has represented a broad range of clients in litigation, dispute resolution, and contract negotiation. 

Construction and Design Contract Negotiation

Pete drafts and negotiates construction and construction-related contracts on a wide range of agreements, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), design-build, design professional/architectural, equipment supply and maintenance, special inspection agreements, and nondisclosure agreements. He has experience with American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Design Build Institute of America contract forms and drafts and negotiates tailored custom agreements to fit the unique needs of his clients.

Dispute Resolution

Pete has represented a wide range of clients including owners, prime contractors, subcontractors, joint ventures, and public entities in complex construction disputes in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration. He has experience litigating high-value matters involving constructability, design, subcontractor default, surety, and related surety and insurance disputes. Peter has advised clients throughout all phases of dispute resolution, developing litigation strategies, and managing risk and exposure.
