Zachary V. Read

Zak Read is admitted to practice in Illinois. He is not currently admitted in Washington.

Zak Read is a member of the Finance practice. Prior to joining the firm, Zak represented clients in out-of-court restructuring and in-court chapter 11 bankruptcy matters, focusing on solutions for financially distressed companies, including via debt financing, credit agreement amendments, forbearance agreements, deleveraging transactions, and distressed M&A and chapter 11 filings.

Additionally, Zak has extensive experience drafting key transactional documents and other bankruptcy court  related pleadings across a wide spectrum of commercial matters, including term loan and ABL debtor-in-possession financing agreements, exit financing documentation, exchange agreements, asset purchase agreements, stalking horse agreements with associated bidding procedures, nondisclosure agreements, mutual release agreements, restructuring support agreements, and SEC Form 8-Ks, as well as board minutes, resolutions, and consents authorizing various restructuring transactions.

Zak has additional experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as corporate, intellectual property, tax, and litigation. He has also assisted in delivering integrated solutions for clients spanning the technology, manufacturing, transportation, and retail industries.
