A Closer Look at the House Ways and Means Budget Reconciliation Legislation–Process and Policies

The House Ways and Means Committee is expected to approve a major tax package covering a wide array of policies to be included in budget reconciliation legislation. While this marks an important milestone, it’s just one step in the complex process of reaching consensus among the House Republican Caucus and eventually their Senate counterparts.  

Members of our Tax Policy practice group will host a comprehensive discussion on the next steps for the tax legislation as it moves through the House and over to the Senate. Our team with decades of Hill experience will consider the process, politics, and policies at play to move the package through the House and what we can expect in the Senate as the budget reconciliation package comes face to face with the Byrd Rule.
