CMU and K&L Gates Conference on Ethics and AI
In 2016, our firm established the K&L Gates Endowment for Ethics and Computational Technologies at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). As part of our relationship with the university, we collaborate to host the CMU and K&L Gates Conference on Ethics and AI, which features sessions on the design and governance of responsible AI systems and the ethics of generative AI.
Highlights:
- Partner David Lehman will give the introductory remarks on behalf of the firm;
- Keynote speaker Manuela Velosco, Professor Emerita at CMU, has conducted AI research for close to three decades and leads a team of nearly 40 Master and Ph.D. level AI researchers;
- Thought leaders from academia, industry, government, and the media will share insights that go beyond slogans and soundbites; and
- Our AI Working Group is proud to support this event, and members will be in attendance.
Registration deadline is 12 June.
