Chief Coleman

Johnathan ‘Chief’ Coleman is an associate and a member of the Commercial Disputes practice group. Prior to joining the firm, Chief was a judicial law clerk at the Superior Court of Los Angeles County. With the Court, he gained experience with the various stage of litigation by delivering legal support for proceedings, motion session, and trials through extensive research.  

Before joining the Court, Chief was at a Los Angeles-based law firm where he focused on representing technology companies in issues of CFIUS filings and business litigation, including cybersecurity, data, privacy, securities, and cryptocurrency. 

Chief gained experience as a law clerk for the US Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs where he provided support through hearing preparation and policy research in the areas of national security, foreign affairs, and deregulated finance. 

While at USC, Goud School of Law, Chief served as the President of the USC’s Law’s largest student organization, Public Interest Law Foundation, which coordinates a network of student-volunteer legal aid services under attorney supervision. Chief also learned under the tutelage of Professor Samuel Erman, a constitutional law scholar, while working as a research assistant.
