Dr. Daniel Schumann

Daniel Schumann is an associate and a certified mediator in the firm's Frankfurt office and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation, Commercial Disputes, and White Collar Crime practice groups.

He advises on all procedural matters in General Civil Law and White Collar Crime, in particular Trademark, Commercial, and Corporate Law. The focus of his practice is the representation of international and national clients before state courts and authorities.

As a former judge, Daniel has conducted more than 600 civil and criminal cases, making him one of very few attorneys with not only in-depth knowledge of Civil Procedure and Criminal Procedure Law, but also extensive practical experience in these areas, both from a judicial and an advocacy perspective.

Since 2023, Daniel has been recognized by Best Lawyers® "Ones to Watch" for Litigation.

Daniel joined the firm in 2021. Previously, he was a judge in the State of Hesse at various Regional and District Courts.

He studied law at the Georg-August University of Göttingen. As a scholarship holder within the "Hannover Insurance School" framework, a cooperation between the Competence Center for Insurance Sciences and the Hannover insurance industry, Daniel completed his doctorate on a topic related to data protection law and insurance law. During his legal clerkship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt, he studied an additional semester at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer.
