Acted for a global chemicals company in an international arbitration relating to the construction of an ammonia plant in Australia, as well as investigations relating to a failure.
Acted for another global chemicals company in an international arbitration on a dispute in the Middle East regarding the world's largest petrochemicals complex ever built in a single phase.
Acted for a global engineering company on an anti-bribery/corruption investigation arising from multiple engineering projects across South East Asia. This was the first public prosecution under Australia's foreign bribery laws and included self-reporting to national, regional and global regulatory and enforcement authorities.
Acted for various clients in dozens of countries across APAC in the energy, chemicals, construction, pharmaceuticals and technology industries on a variety of investigations, including those relating to anti-bribery and corruption, dawn raids, incident response, employee misconduct, cybersecurity, fraud, antitrust, and environmental. This included on-the-ground investigations, working closely with in-house support teams, as well as desktop compliance and due diligence analysis.
Acted for a global energy company on a tax-related criminal investigation targeting senior officers and relating to its most significant global projects, including dawn raids and threats of seizures of critical operational equipment.
