Isabel Kainer-Pfuhl is an associate in the firm’s Frankfurt office, advising on all aspects of intellectual property litigation with a focus on patent law. Isabel is also experienced in pharmaceutical and medical devices law. She has extensive experience in litigating patents for international and national clients, especially from the automotive, telecommunication, and chemical industries and the life science sector. Her advice covers the full spectrum of patent law, particularly:
- infringement proceedings;
- preliminary injunction proceedings;
- inspection proceedings;
- drafting and negotiating license, transfer and distribution agreements.
Prior to joining the firm in July 2015, Isabel worked in the IP department of another leading international law firm in Frankfurt for several years.
She studied law at the University of Bayreuth/Germany. During her legal traineeship, she spent several months in other international law firms with a focus on IP litigation. She received her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Auckland/New Zealand. Being a member of the DFG Graduate School “Intellectual Property and the Public Domain”, she obtained a doctorate degree in the fields of IP and sports law.
