Before entering the legal field, Ivy built a career as a nuclear engineer supporting the US Navy’s aircraft carriers and submarines, overseeing mission-critical nuclear fluid systems. She then transitioned to business development in the defense and technology sectors, where she delivered solutions in cybersecurity, cloud, and communications technology.
During law school, Ivy was a summer associate at the firm assisting with patent infringement litigation, contract review, and regulatory research. Through the UNH Law Intellectual Property & Transaction Clinic Ivy represented clients before the US Patent and Trademark Office and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She advised clients on trademark selection, copyright protection, entity formation, and enforcement strategies. During her final year of law school Ivy participated in the New York Pro Bono Scholars Program, a legal education initiative allowing Ivy to devote the last semester of study to performing pro bono service.
