John Wingerter is a partner in the firm’s Pittsburgh office and a member of the Private Equity Transactions practice group.
John serves as a trusted advisor to clients in the United States and around the world, with a particular focus on domestic and multinational mergers, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and dispositions for both private equity sponsors as well as strategic investors.
John draws on his wide variety of experiences and transactions to assist his clients in solving problems and finding practical solutions to complex and challenging issues.
John has advised on numerous middle market transactions, assisting clients through all phases of the M&A process, from planning and structuring, to negotiating and documenting, and through the closing, as well as on integration and other business transactions following the closing.
In addition, John acts as de facto outside general counsel for numerous public and private companies, advising his clients on all types of business transactions and other general corporate matters. His clients appreciate his common-sense and detail-oriented approach to produce practical legal solutions to day-to-day challenges and extraordinary issues.
