K&L Gates Partner Pallavi Mehta Wahi Appointed to Federal Reserve Seattle Branch Board of Directors

11 January 2022

Seattle - Pallavi Mehta Wahi, K&L Gates’ co-managing partner, United States; managing partner of the firm’s Seattle office; and chair of the firmwide diversity committee, has been appointed to the Seattle Branch Board of Directors of The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, effective January 1, 2022. Appointed to the role by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, she will be among nine directors who represent the interests of the 12th Reserve District and whose backgrounds provide the Bank with a wider range of experience that helps it fulfil its policy and operational responsibilities.

“We are pleased and proud that Pallavi has been asked to take on this important and prestigious appointment,” said Jim Segerdahl, K&L Gates’ global managing partner. “We know Pallavi will bring the same dedication, commitment, thought leadership, and talent to the Federal Reserve Board that she regularly brings to clients across the globe, to our firm, and to the Seattle community.”

Wahi holds several leadership roles within the Seattle community, serving as the first vice board chairperson at the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce (assuming the role of chairperson in late 2022), as well as serving on the board of directors at the Woodland Park Zoo. She also is a member of the Industry Advisory Board and Global Law Institute at the University of Washington School of Law, and serves on the board of trustees of the King County Bar Foundation.

In October, Wahi was an honoree on the 2021 Power 100 list released by the Puget Sound Business Journal. Those chosen for the Power 100 are not nominated, but selected by the publication’s newsroom based on reporting and listening to voices within the community. Wahi has been included annually since the Power 100 was first published three years ago, celebrating the region’s newsmakers, influencers, and leaders who have inspired change in the community, changed the public discourse, and are considered a force in their industries.

In December, Wahi was also recognized as one of 25 individuals named to Seattle Magazine’s list of the Most Influential People of 2021, recognizing individuals who have gone above and beyond their everyday jobs to take action and risks, making a measurable difference across Washington State.
