Katy Ramos is an associate in the firm's IP Litigation practice group. She focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and intellectual property disputes. Her experience includes representing clients in connection with claims of trade secret misappropriation, privacy-related claims, breach of contract, unfair competition, and fraud, as well as advising on regulatory compliance. She has also been successful in negotiating favorable settlements for multiple clients facing privacy claims. Katy has represented clients in a wide variety of industries including banking and financial services, consumer products, entertainment, food, healthcare, hospitality, real estate, technology, and telecommunications.
Katy also has an active pro bono practice. She has represented veterans appealing Veterans Affairs decisions, clients seeking asylum in the United States, disabled students seeking a free appropriate public education, and victims of the nonconsensual distribution of intimate images. She has also worked in support of the firm’s anti-human trafficking initiative.
Prior to joining the firm, Katy was as a summer associate in the firm's Los Angeles office and a law clerk for a nonprofit legal services organization. While at UCLA School of Law, Katy served as a Comments Editor for the UCLA Law Review, as well as the co-chair of the Law Women group and a board member of the Animal Law Society.
