Kevin received his bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech and his Ph.D. from Duke University in 2013, studying Standard Model processes in proton-proton collisions using the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron collider. After finishing his Ph.D., Kevin continued to work in the ATLAS collaboration through postdoctoral positions at the University of Sydney and Boston University. In 2019, he began teaching full-time in positions at Marymount University and the University of the District of Columbia where he became involved in developing curriculum for quantum computing in higher education. Since summer 2022, Kevin has worked in patent drafting and prosecution as a technical advisor and patent agent.
