Klaus Schubert

Klaus Schubert advises on a wide range of intellectual property issues, with an emphasis on patents and software licenses. His practice extends beyond drafting and negotiating licensing agreements to strategic advice on the development and administration of license and patent portfolios.

Since the beginning of his career Klaus has advised in complex, often multi-jurisdictional litigation, with a focus on corporate, general commercial and especially patent infringement litigation. He has also represented clients in large arbitration matters and frequently serves as an arbitrator.

Klaus joined K&L Gates in December 2016. He was a partner at a major German law firm since 1999, before joining a renowned international law firm as partner in 2002, where he was part of the Corporate and Transactional Department, and a member of the Technology Transactions/Licensing and Litigation Practice Group. He was admitted to the bar in 1993.
