Sally started with the firm as a summer associate in the Boston office. During this period, Sally gained experience performing legal research and preparing written memoranda in the Commercial Disputes practice group. Sally also developed practical experience with deposition preparation, document review in a 1983 claim, and drafting a motion to dismiss in a pro bono case for a client with special immigrant juvenile status.
Prior to joining K&L Gates, Sally served as a judicial intern for the U.S. District Court, Chief Judge of the Northern District of New York, where she conducted legal research on both substantive and procedural issues in a variety of criminal and civil proceedings and prepared a draft opinion for the Court. She served as a Note Editor of Suffolk University’s Law Review and, as a member of the school’s immigration clinic, she successfully argued and prevailed in obtaining asylum for a Sudanese client before U.S. Immigration Court in Boston.
