Our Commitment to Diversity
Seth I. Allen

Seth Allen is an associate in the firm’s Newark office and a member of the Insurance Recovery and Counseling practice group, where he focuses his practice on policyholder disputes.

Seth joined the firm after serving as an associate at an elite New York City insurance recovery boutique, where he worked to enforce individual and commercial policyholders’ rights to coverage for a wide range of losses and liabilities.

Seth committed to becoming a policyholder specialist early in his career while clerking in state and federal court, where he observed the prejudicial influence that litigation costs can have on the outcome of civil, commercial, and criminal matters. With valuable experience in the civil and criminal arenas, Seth brings outstanding legal writing, research, technology, and data management skills to his policyholder practice.

Prior to joining the firm, Seth served as an insurance recovery associate in a New York City based law firm. He drafted pleadings, motions, responses, and written discovery, and coordinated the discovery process in several multi-million dollar actions disputing coverage under a wide array of insurance, including property and casualty, builders risk, general commercial liability, directors and officers, and employment practices and liability policies. Seth also has experience auditing coverage for directors and officers, employment practices, and fiduciary liability, as well as performing litigation assessments for investors seeking to fund litigation.

Before becoming a coverage attorney, Seth served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Harvey Bartle III of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and to the Honorable Abbe F. Fletman for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Civil Trial Division. He also served as a Judicial Intern in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

During law school, Seth served as a Senior Editor and Board Member for the University of Pennsylvania Law School’s Journal of International Law, a volunteer with the Law School’s Transnational Legal Clinic and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Project, and a member of the Law School’s nationally-recognized moot court team.
