Susanne Lührmann is a senior associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice group. She focuses her practice on intellectual property disputes, with particular experience in trademark litigation, opposition and cancellation proceedings, trademark enforcement, and unfair competition matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Susanne practiced at two US law firms. During that time, she was part of a team responsible for the global trademark administration and portfolio management of a major German telecommunications company, advising on a broad range of trademark matters, including trademark prosecution, portfolio strategy, clearance, and enforcement.
Most recently, Susanne served as legal counsel at an international education institution in Frankfurt, where she was responsible for advising on a broad range of legal matters. Her work focused primarily on construction-related legal issues in connection with the development and construction of a major campus development project.
Susanne advises clients across a broad range of industries on complex intellectual property disputes and enforcement proceedings. Her practice focuses on trademarks, design rights, and unfair competition, with particular experience in opposition and cancellation proceedings, trademark enforcement strategies, and the protection and defense of intellectual property rights in contentious matters. She regularly advises international clients on cross-border trademark disputes and proceedings before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
In addition, Susanne has experience in unfair competition law and anti-counterfeiting.
