Unraveling the SEC's Fund of Funds Rule

KL Gates Hosted Event
Date: 29 October 2020

On 7 October 2020, the Securities and Exchange Commission adopted new rule 12d1-4, designed to streamline the regulatory framework applicable to funds that invest in other funds (funds of funds). The new rule significantly reorders the current web of regulation applicable to fund of funds arrangements by subjecting most funds of funds to Rule 12d1-4.

This interactive series of webinars features firm lawyers who are well versed on the new rule, and will delve into the particulars of Rule 12d1-4 and their wide-ranging implications for our clients and contacts. The first session provides a general overview of the new rule, the second session focuses on the impacts of Rule 12d1-4 on Closed-End Funds and BDCs, and the third session focuses on the impacts of Rule 12d1-4 on Exchange-Traded Funds.
