Borhan is a special counsel in the corporate group's infrastructure projects and major property developments team with a focus on assisting our clients with the delivery of the 2032 Olympic legacy. He has over 14 years' experience advising some of Australia's largest landholders, listed REITs, major banks and developers to optimise asset portfolios and undertake major developments.
Borhan has been leading major property transactions and development projects since 2011. His notable roles include three years as 2IC external legal counsel for Westpac Bank’s national property portfolio, and two years primary external legal counsel for Caltex’s Queensland property portfolio.
He has a strong focus on delivering tenure solutions, particularly where stakeholder complexity arises or government partnership is required. Borhan has broad and deep experience across all key areas of property law and public infrastructure and service delivery, with a footprint across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia.
Borhan is a trusted legal partner to fund and asset managers, managing the challenges of asset and portfolio transformations. His work extends to leading multidisciplinary teams of surveyors, environmental consultants, engineers and town planners through complex tenure arrangements, including layered Community Title Schemes and novel volumetric solutions to map the evolving needs of the property sector.
He has regularly advised and represented Goodman, Investa, Charter Hall, Caltex, Westpac Bank and ANZ Bank.
