Ciera Phung-Marion

Ciera Phung-Marion is an associate in the firm’s Commercial Disputes practice group. She has experience revising and exchanging prehearing memorandum drafts and preparing them for final opinions. She is also skilled in editing and verifying citations to ensure opinions comply with the Bluebook, Chicago Manual of Style, Gregg’s Reference Manual, and court style guides. Ciera has managed high-volume caseloads, averaging three 25-page opinions per five-week cycle across complex civil and criminal matters.

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Ciera served as a judicial clerk at the Washington State Court of Appeals, supporting Judge Erik Price and other members of the judicial panel on civil and criminal appeals. She also was a legal intern with the Federal Trade Commission, where she drafted memoranda regarding First Amendment challenges to the regulation of advertising for commercial and nonprofit entities and researched changes in federal antitrust laws regarding technology companies.
