Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Emeline served as a summer associate with the firm and as a judicial extern for the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, where she gained experience conducting legal research, evaluating legal arguments, and drafting written work.
During law school, Emeline gained hands-on experience as a clinic volunteer with multiple justice clinics, where she supported clients in family law and human trafficking matters. Her work included assisting with divorce mediation and negotiations, preparing court filings, and participating in clinic case rounds. She also worked on vacatur petitions for human trafficking survivors, including revising petitions, drafting declarations in support of domestic violence restraining orders, and providing trauma-informed client support under the supervision of attorneys.
