Jacob R. Winningham

Jacob Winningham is an associate and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation and Commercial Disputes practice groups. He has represented both domestic and international clients in matters involving trade secret misappropriation, class action litigation, patent infringement, false advertising, fraud, employment disputes, contract negotiations, and other complex disputes.

Jacob’s experience involves litigation in both federal and state court, as well as advanced international and domestic arbitration. He has experience in all phases of litigation, including complex expert and fact discovery, law and motion practice, preparing witnesses for deposition and trial, pretrial and in-trial motion practice, and successful resolution of a case through trial in federal court.

Jacob also has extensive experience in the regulatory and enforcement fields, and has advised clients regarding their compliance with state and federal privacy, advertising, data security, and accessibility regulations.

Prior to joining the firm, Jacob was a summer associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Jacob also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Maureen P. Kelly for the Western District of Pennsylvania. 

While at UCLA School of Law, Jacob served as an associate editor for the UCLA Law Review. During law school, Jacob worked as a legal and business affairs extern for an intellectual property management agency in Beverly Hills, where he helped to negotiate and draft licensing agreements for entertainment and cultural icons.
