Jade Chen is a member of the firm's IP Litigation practice group. She represents clients in patent disputes before federal courts and the US International Trade Commission (ITC), advising on all stages of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, pleadings, discovery, claim construction, expert proceedings, dispositive motions, trial and trial preparation, as well as alternative dispute resolution strategy.
Jade’s experience spans a broad range of technologies and industries, including electronics, ecommerce, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and other innovation-driven businesses. She works closely with clients to develop practical litigation strategies that align legal objectives with business goals. Jade frequently works with multinational companies to navigate intellectual property disputes involving domestic and international business interests.
In addition to patent matters, Jade advises clients in copyright, false advertising, unfair competition, and trademark-related disputes. Jade has also participated in pro bono cases assisting clients with trademark prosecution, responding to copyright claims, and deterring misuse of name and likeness.
Beyond litigation, Jade advises clients on intellectual property strategy and related transactions, including technology transfer, licensing negotiations, and due diligence involving mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Jade assists clients with managing their IP portfolios and protecting proprietary information.
