Jeremiah D. Hess

Jeremiah Hess is a Patent Agent and a member of the IP Procurement and Portfolio Management practice group. Prior to joining the firm, Jeremiah served as a certification engineer at a global technology manufacturer where he led product certification and compliance efforts for power transfer devices across international markets. In this role, he managed certification strategies, prepared key regulatory documents, and collaborated with engineering, legal, and compliance teams to guide products through audit and approval processes. As a product engineer, Jeremiah contributed to the design and optimization of automatic transfer switch systems for US Navy applications, conducted finite element analysis, coordinated agile development efforts, and partnered with government engineering teams to ensure adherence to strict technical standards. Additionally, Jeremiah led international product certification initiatives across multiple regulatory regimes, supporting commercial product launches and defense‑related programs.

Jeremiah brings experience as an engineer supporting both commercial and federal defense programs, where he designed and integrated engineering solutions for military vehicle platforms, performed structural and thermal simulations, and managed comprehensive technical documentation. He has conducted technical assessments for naval safety programs, drafted detailed compliance reports, and performed on‑site evaluations at military and industrial facilities.
