Kerry Deng is a trainee solicitor in the firm’s Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice. Prior to joining the firm, Kerry gained experience as a real estate disputes and planning paralegal where she drafted and reviewed a variety of documents, including leases, dilapidations schedules, rights of light settlement agreements, Light Obstruction Notices, and Landlord and Tenant Act notices. She also supported planning team matters involving Development Consent Orders and General Permitted Development Order advice for infrastructure and developer clients, while coordinating with counsel, expert witnesses, court personnel, and other stakeholders on active disputes and hearings.
Kerry further developed experience through vacation schemes with international law firms, working with the disputes and employment teams, contributing to an LCIA arbitration submission, conducting employment-related due diligence, assisting with client updates, and supporting pro bono matters. Kerry also gained experience in Singapore, where she supported international arbitration and corporate matters by researching case law, reviewing evidence, conducting transaction due diligence, and preparing regulatory research on topics including special purpose acquisition companies and impact investing.
