Markus Eustermann

Markus Eustermann is a partner in the firm’s IP Procurement and Portfolio Management practice group. Prior to joining the firm, Markus served as a partner at a boutique intellectual property firm, where he advised clients on intellectual property protection, patent prosecution, patent litigation, and the enforcement of intellectual property rights across Europe. He is a German patent attorney, European patent attorney, European patent litigator, and UPC Representative, with experience spanning patent drafting and prosecution, opposition proceedings, intellectual property portfolio management, and strategic intellectual property counseling. 

Markus works with clients across technology-driven industries. His technical experience includes automotive engineering, biomechanics, control technology; fluid mechanics, implant and laboratory technology, mechatronics, medical devices, and related engineering disciplines.

Before entering private practice, Markus held engineering, research, and product-development roles with organizations in the healthcare, medical device, and research sectors. His experience includes work involving numeric simulations on spine models, software verification and validation, engineering research, especially in the field of dialysis, as well as product design and development.
