Matthew Proctor

Matthew is a senior associate in the firm's Corporate group. He has over six years' experience advising clients on high-value mergers and acquisition (M&A) transactions, complex contract negotiations, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. Matthew's experience has seen him act on matters including renewable energy developments, cross-border acquisitions and divestments, project structuring, and governance frameworks for clients in a variety of sectors.

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Matthew was in a senior commercial role for a Queensland university, providing advice in the areas of risk and insurance. He also spent a number of years advising the university in the role of Legal Counsel, General and Research. Before that, Matthew was an Associate in the Corporate team at Allens, which included a six-month secondment to a large provider of aviation services.
